Jalika Conteh is a writer, point-blank period.
Born in Florida and raised and educated in Virginia, her love for reading, writing, and pop culture has taken her from the East Coast to Los Angeles, California.
As thee award-winning content editor for the Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (or “SAG-AFTRA” if you have someplace to be while reading this), she contributes to SAG-AFTRA’s eponymous and award-winning magazine, podcast, website and social media platforms.
When she’s not working hard to earn a living, writing fanfiction for fun, or giving semi-unsolicited opinions on pop culture happenings to her colleagues, family, and friends—her topics range from Beyoncé to movies to Beyoncé to music to anime and Beyoncé—she’s writing about herself in the third person.
